Module 1: Chess Basics and Fun Tactics

Welcome to the wonderful world of chess! In this module, you will start with the basics: learning about the chessboard, the pieces, their values, and how they move. Discover the thrill of capturing pieces and understand important concepts like check, defending a check, and checkmate. Learn what a stalemate is and how to attack and defend effectively. You’ll also get to solve fun puzzles where you can checkmate in just one move! We’ll finish with a review to make sure you’re ready for the next adventure in chess.

Module 2: Cool Moves and Winning Strategies

Get ready to learn some of the coolest moves in chess! This module covers special rules and moves like castling, en passant, and pawn promotion. You’ll also learn how to read and write chess notations, making it easier to follow games and record your own. Discover the different ways a game can end in a draw or a win, and get introduced to basic opening principles. Understand the importance of exchanges and learn how to checkmate with just a king and a queen against a lone king. Each lesson is packed with fun and ends with a revision to keep you sharp and excited about chess!
