About Chess Camps
Chess Camps are short, intensive programs we run a few times each year — built around school holidays, festivals and the seasons. Unlike our regular courses, every camp is one-of-a-kind: a fresh theme, a new line-up of coaches, and a curriculum designed specifically for the dates and the group attending.
Camps are perfect for students who want a focused boost between terms, parents looking for an enriching way to fill the holidays, and curious players who'd like to try PrimeChess without committing to a long course.
Because each camp is shaped around its season and audience, we don't publish curriculum, schedules or fees in advance. Details are announced closer to the camp dates — usually 4–6 weeks before. Join our notification list and we'll let you know the moment the next one is open for sign-ups.
Camps We Run Through the Year
A few examples — the line-up changes year to year.
Summer Chess Camp
A multi-week camp over the summer break, blending tactics, tournaments and group play. Our flagship every year.
Holiday Chess Camp
A shorter, festive camp around the winter holidays. Lighter on theory, heavier on fun formats and team events.
Tournament Prep Camp
An intensive run-up before major tournament seasons — opening prep, time-management drills and simulated rounds.
Beginner Bootcamp
A short on-ramp camp for children new to chess — rules, fundamentals and lots of friendly games.
What to Expect
Short, Focused Format
Most camps run for a few days to a few weeks — designed to fit a holiday window without disrupting school.
A Single Theme
Each camp has one clear focus — endgames, opening repertoire, tournament play — so students leave with something concrete.
Small Groups
Seats are limited so coaches can give every student attention. Camps tend to fill up within a week of being announced.
Internal Tournaments
Most camps end with a friendly internal tournament — a chance to apply what was learned and pick up a few prizes.
How It Works
We announce the next camp
Roughly 4–6 weeks before the dates. Theme, schedule, age group, fee and number of seats are all confirmed at this point.
You reach out on WhatsApp
Tell us a little about the student. We'll confirm fit, share the fee and reserve a seat — first come, first served.
Camp begins
Materials, schedule and class links are shared a few days before. Most camps run online; some are hybrid in-person.
Frequently Asked
Why aren't dates and fees listed?
Each camp is designed for its season and group, so the schedule, curriculum and fee are set close to the dates. This keeps every camp fresh — but it does mean you'll need to check back or join the notification list.
Do I need to be a PrimeChess student already?
No. Camps are open to everyone. Many students try a camp first and join a regular course afterwards.
What level should my child be at?
It depends on the camp. We always specify the target level when a camp is announced — from absolute beginners to tournament-rated players.
Are camps online or in-person?
Most camps are fully online. We occasionally run hybrid camps with an in-person component — that's always called out in the announcement.
