Your Child's First Chess Class

Live online classes for kids who have never played chess. Your child learns the game — and learns to focus, think ahead, and lose without tears.

Small groups, max 6 kids One-to-one classes available Pause or reschedule anytime

Elementary is right for your child if…

  • They are 6 to 9 years old
  • They haven't played chess before, or only know bits and pieces
  • You want screen time that builds their brain instead of draining it

Is your child 10 or older?

Or do they already know how the pieces move? The Beginner course will suit them better.

What Chess Gives Your Child

Chess is one of the best brain workouts a young child can get.

Thinks Before Acting

Every move has a consequence. Kids learn to slow down and think ahead — on the board and off it.

Focus & Patience

Sitting with one problem until it's solved — a skill that shows up at school too.

Wins & Loses Gracefully

Chess teaches kids to compete, to lose without a meltdown, and to try again.

Better Screen Time

A healthy alternative to habit-forming computer games — same screen, very different habit.

Questions Parents Ask Us

Is my child too young for online classes?

Our coaches specialise in teaching young kids — short, interactive lessons that hold their attention. You're welcome to sit beside your child in the first few classes. And if a group class doesn't suit them yet, we offer one-to-one classes for young kids.

What if my child falls sick or we travel?

You can reschedule a missed class. For longer breaks — exams, vacations — you can pause the classes and resume when you're back.

How do I know my child is progressing?

Coaches share regular updates, and your child earns a certificate when they complete the course. You'll see the progress at home too — the first time they beat you fairly.

Do I need to buy anything?

No. A computer or tablet with an internet connection is all your child needs. Classes run on Zoom with an online chess board.
